Premiere ideas introduced in the 1st Start-up Event of Beverage Industry

Through collaboration between Alifard Scientific-Applied Education Center and Alifard Company, the 1st start-up acceleration event in beverage industry was held on Wednesday, June 1st, at Evin Hotel in Tehran, attended by high-ranking authorities of the State Scientific-Applied University, Alborz Province Science & Technology Park, senior managers of Alifard Company, Alifard Scientific-Applied Education Center, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunich Industrial Group.
As reported by Public Relations Division of Alifard Scientific-Applied Education Center, 120 ideas from all over the country were assessed in the first stage, out of which 17 ideas made it through the second stage. Then, 8 ideas were assessed by jurors selected by faculty members of the country’s credible universities. At the final judgment stage, 3 ideas were selected as premiere.
It is noteworthy that premiere ideas presented in the closing ceremony will be supported and invested by Sunich Industrial Group.
Three premiere ideas were presented in areas of applying fermenter and fermentation in beverage industry, extraction of pigments from residual fruit, and B12 vitamin production using propionibacterium and adding this vitamin to beverages.
During this event, Dr. Touraj Zehforoush, Head of Alifard Scientific-Applied Education Center, mentioning history of this center, said that “a brief study on establishment of Alifard Scientific-Applied Education Center shows us well that this center is the first scientific-applied university in Iran which was established in 1997 by late Haj Hossein Alizad, founder of Sunich Industrial Group. He was well aware that this industry requires new methodologies of research and education”.
“This center started its activity in 1997, offering two fields to 60 students. In October 2022, it is continuing its activity by offering 27 fields”, he added.
The important point is that 38 specialized workshops are held at the center during the last year. At the same time, 6 start-ups are active through collaboration of Shiva Co., Sunich Co., Sayeh Saman Co. and Alifard Scientific-Applied Education Center.
